Versogen Accelerates Global Expansion with Strategic Partnership in India Following Delaware Trade Mission

March 12, 2026

Delaware-based AEM pioneer Versogen leverages state trade mission to India to secure manufacturing agreement, underscoring its leadership in the global green hydrogen economy.

NEWARK, DE. — March 12, 2026 — Versogen, a pioneer in Anion Exchange Membrane (AEM) technology, recently announced a significant milestone in its global growth strategy through a new partnership with Indian green energy firm InSolare Energy. The collaboration, finalized during a successful trade mission to India led by Delaware Governor Matt Meyer, positions Versogen at the forefront of India’s rapidly expanding green hydrogen market.

The partnership focuses on the deployment of Versogen’s advanced AEM electrolyzer stack designs, which are engineered to deliver high-performance hydrogen production without the need for expensive precious metal catalysts. By combining Versogen’s technological leadership with InSolare’s regional manufacturing and execution capabilities, the agreement facilitates the large-scale adoption of cost-effective green hydrogen solutions in one of the world’s most critical energy markets.

“The First State at its Best”

Governor Matt Meyer, who witnessed the partnership announcement during his mission to New Delhi, Mumbai, and Hyderabad, praised Versogen as a prime example of Delaware’s innovation ecosystem.

“Versogen’s story is the First State at its best: innovative research at the University of Delaware creating a globally leading polymer membrane company located on the STAR Campus – growing into a real-world partnership that accelerates clean energy on a global scale,” said Governor Meyer. “Delaware chemistry is truly delivering cost-effective, large-scale green hydrogen and deepening a Delaware–India relationship for years to come.”

Scaling AEM Technology Globally

Since its inception as a spin-off from the University of Delaware, Versogen has consistently advanced the boundaries of hydrogen technology. Its proprietary PiperION® membranes and stack architectures are designed to meet the rigorous demands of industrial decarbonization.

“India represents one of the most dynamic markets for green hydrogen globally,” said Dr. Yushan Yan, CEO of Versogen. “Through our partnership with InSolare, we are bringing our patented PiperION® AEM technology to enable scalable, efficient, and affordable hydrogen production. This will play a critical role in decarbonizing hard-to-abate industries and achieving global climate goals.”

The partnership aligns with India’s National Green Hydrogen Mission, further validating Versogen’s AEM technology as a scalable and economically viable alternative to traditional electrolysis methods.
